Ingredients:  Dulse (Palmaria palmata) seaweed 100%.

Country of Origin: Grown in EU (Ireland or France). Packed in New Zealand.*

We work with harvesters operating in an organically certified area. We test our seaweeds for contaminants according to the ANZ Food Code.

Storage: Dulse is light sensitive and may lighten in colour if exposed to sunlight for extended periods of time.  Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.  Seaweeds are hygroscopic, meaning they absorb moisture from the air, so seal securely once opened.

I'm Loving Seaweed

I have Nori flakes everyday and keep the Dulse for sprinkling on various dishes. I'm making custard for a trifle (your recipe) using your seaweed for Easter Sunday. I'll be using Agar Agar for the jelly. Here's hoping my iodine rates go up and my thyroid picks up a bit.

Atlantic Dulse

A bit gritty & chewy

Thank you for your review Halina. I am sorry it was not what you were expecting - each seaweed is quite different (just as each land vegetable has a different texture to other vegies). Atlantic Dulse is more 'leathery' than Nori or some of the other seaweeds which can have a more cellophane like texture. it does soften in the mouth. Seaweeds can also have a different texture depending on humidity in the atmosphere as they will naturally absorb water. Hope your next experience is better but please drop us a line if you have any questions on hello@ceres.co.nz. Thanks
